Parents want to keep their child's Android or iOS smartphone or tablet safe from becoming a gateway to the Internet's dark side of the force. »familee« is a lovely designed parental control app for smartphones that makes it easy for parents to set limits on how much time their children are spending on their mobile devices. It let parents set rules for their kid’s phones like what apps they are allowed to use and for how long. Also, parents can track how much time their kids spend on their phones. »familee« also helps kids to safely handle all media and communication options that their smartphones offer. The product suite includes the »familee parents« app and the »familee kids« app for iOS and Android devices, as well as the accompanying usage analysis tool »familee trends«.
Art Noir was responsible for the overall branding, naming, ux concept, interaction and interface design, illustrations, sound design, corporate design and documentation as well as agile project management. The branding is based on the apps' origins: to bring families closer together. The conceptualization of the »familee« brand focuses on simple forms, shiny colors and the accompanying claim »feel. together.« that relates to the brands origins. Furthermore, two avatars help children to identify with the app on the one hand and to guide them through the app management on the other hand.
Art Noir was also partly responsible for a successful spin-off as a startup in 2016 attracting venture capital investors from all over Germany.
